I have more than 25 years of experience in telecommunications and IT. While studying, I co-founded one of the largest Internet providers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. After the successful sale of the company, I participated in the development of telecommunications at GTS (now T-mobile), Czech Telecom, Mobilkom (now Nordic Telecom) and O2 Czech and Slovak Republic, where I held various executive roles, including the position of CEO. My international experience comes from my time in PPF group as a CIO in Russian company Eldorado, and as a CTIO for Telco CEE (O2 Czechia, Slovakia, CETIN, Telenor Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia a Montenegro).
My greatest achievements.
- I built the second largest internet provider in the Czech Republic/Slovakia on a green field.
- I participated in several acquisitions of GTS and in their technological and commercial integrations from 200 million CZK per year turnover to 7.5 billion CZK per year turnover.
- I restructured the 4th mobile operator Mobilkom and improved its operating results from -25M CZK/month to +5M CZK/per month during a single year.
- While at O2, we restarted the O2 TV project and created a strong sports TV that dominates the Czech market today.
- In less than a year, we prepared the world’s first voluntary structural separation of infrastructure (O2 vs. CETIN) and set the direction for telecommunications in Europe for several more years (in 2015, O2 Czech Republic became the fastest growing operator in the world).
